More than 750 interviews were held this morning at the Saló de l’Ocupació through an initiative promoted by Intercol·legial, the association representing more than 100 professional bodies.

The Saló de l’Ocupació features more than 160 activities aimed at promoting access to employment for people of all ages, providing inspiration to enhance professional profiles and offering high-quality career advice

Barcelona, 22 October 2026. Networking Professional, the professional networking initiative promoted by Intercol·legial and the Col·legi Oficial d’Agents Comercials de Barcelona (COACB), held more than 750 face-to-face interviews in just three hours as part of the Saló de l’Ocupació, taking place this week in Pavilion 8 at Fira de Barcelona’s Montjuïc venue

The Marketplace Area welcomed hundreds of companies, entrepreneurs and professionals from a wide range of fields, including sales, physical education, social education, law, engineering and pedagogy, among others. They took part in Networking Professional in search of potential collaborators and new employment opportunities

Most interviews were arranged in advance, with each participant having an average of three scheduled interviews.

Ricard Penas, President of COACB, said:“Networking Professional reflects the ability of professional bodies to build bridges between talent and the business community. In an increasingly dynamic labour market, we continue to provide a natural meeting place where professionals and organisations come together, share knowledge and create new opportunities.”

Meanwhile, the Networking Professional website has brought together more than 365 published listings, from both companies and candidates

Networking Professional was organised as part of the Saló de l’Ocupació, an event designed to help people discover employment opportunities and enhance their professional profiles, which took place on 21 and 22 October. Promoted by Barcelona Activa, the event aims to respond to the needs of people looking to connect with companies and organisations seeking talent.

Over the two days, conferences and workshops were also held on the use of artificial intelligence in companies’ recruitment and selection processes and on how AI is transforming the job-search process.

In addition, 45 advice points were set up to provide professional career guidance and were available throughout the two days of the Saló de l’Ocupació
